As the son of a Naval Officer I travelled extensively as a child and never quite got that rolling stone fever out of my system. I have lived in Hawaii, Idaho, California, Illinois, Virginia, Massachusetts, Luxembourg Europe and now in Louisiana and travelled to every state in the Union with the exception of Alaska. My international travel experiences began in Luxembourg many years ago and I haven’t stop seeing the world since.

Defining my travel passions are hard… I guess I’d have to say the Architecture. No, wait, the food. No, I mean language and customs. Shoot. One thing for sure though, and this just drives Annie crazy, wherever I go in my travels, I always want to live there. That’s usually one of the first thoughts out of my mouth: “Hey, this is absolutely amazing. How come we don’t live here?”

As an Architect in a “previous life” I find that I have a natural aptitude for planning, as well as the attention to detail required to create a successful travel experience for our clients. Planning and executing a custom travel adventure for a client is a process very much akin to that of planning and executing a custom home or business environment for a client. It is all about understanding the clients desires and dreams and then drawing up the perfect plans and details.

What is your favorite travel tip?

Take your own pillow (down can get stuffed into very small spaces) with you and use whatever pharmaceutical resources are available to you to make sure you sleep soundly during international flights.

What is your favorite place? And the “not-to-miss” thing to do there?

Well, after Ville Platte Louisiana and the annual Dewey Balfa Cajun and Creole Heritage Week, I’d have to say the Greek Aegean Isles. No, wait, I mean Tuscan Italy. Or maybe Spain’s Costa Brava. OK, the GreekNaxos Greek Isles Isles. And the not to miss thing to do in Greece? Get off the regular tourist paths and follow a nice goat track or back dirt road into the hills. But don’t get lost.

What is your favorite travel reference?

Well, there are quite a few great references out there but I’d have to say that my very favorite is my good friend Mr. Google. There are an endless number of “rabbit holes” to go chasing down for good information.
